Peace Sports Club for Persons with Disability, represented by its Chairman, Mr. Mohammed Al Arabi, its Treasurer Mr. Zarif Al-Ghorra and Dr. Marwan Ajjour, the Chairman of the Swimming Federation for Persons with Disabilities, received a delegation from the Palestinian Sports Academy included its Chairman, Prof. Iyad Abu Zaher and his deputy Mr. Sami Al-Shanti.
The Chairman of the Peace Sports Club, Mr. Mohammed Al-Arabi welcomed the delegation of the Sports Academy and thanked them for their efforts in serving the Palestinian sport. Mr. Al-Arabi presented an overview of the most important projects and programs carried out by the Peace Club for Persons with Disability and future plans for implementing. He said, “There is a vision and a message of the Peace Sports Club aimed to care for the large group of persons with disability in the society. He pointed out that there are heroes with disabilities from Palestine who have achieved international and Arab successes that have not been achieved by fit people in more than one sport. Mr. Al-Arabi concluded that the Peace Club for Persons with Disability is fully prepared to cooperate with the Palestinian Sports Academy in order to implement joint programs and activities.
On his part, the delegation of the Palestinian Sports Academy thanked the Peace Sport Club for Persons with Disability for their good reception and praised the wonderful efforts made by the club to serve a large and important segment of the Palestinian society.
In the second part of the meeting, Dr. Marwan Ajjour, Mr. Zarif Al-Ghorra from the Peace Club for Persons with Disability and Mr. Sami Al-Shanti from the Palestinian Sports Academy, discussed several steps that will activate the cooperation between the two institutions as well as prepare a draft of mutual understanding and cooperation.
