Peace Sports Club for Persons with Disability has completed a training course in the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities in Gaza City.
The club has graduated a new group of male and female trainees with disabilities holding academic qualifications.
The course aimed to raise awareness among young men and women with disabilities about the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities which was signed by Palestine in 2014. The course is part of a future sports project funded by the Diakonia/Nad Foundation.
The course targeted a group of young men and women with disabilities who represent self-support groups and institutions representing persons with disabilities.
Mr. Mohammed Al-Arabi, the Chairman of the club said that this course is very important and aims to develop the human rights concepts of the representatives of persons with disabilities in Gaza City in preparation for the development of the shadow report in the future.
