Peace Sports Club for Persons with Disability has completed the implementation of a sport week targeting 100 children with disabilities within the project “Supporting Sports Rights for Children with Disabilities” in partnership with the Palestinian Consultative Staff for developing NGOs (PCS) and funded by the European Union.
The students in the camp confirmed their full happiness in this unique sport activity because they do not exercise their right to sports activity on the grounds of their disability.
Mr. Mohammed Al-Arabi, the Chairman of the club, emphasized that students with disabilities suffer from the lack of interests in sports in schools and clubs which led the Peace Sport Club to implement the sport week. He also thanked the Palestinian Consultative Staff for developing NGOs (PCS) and the European Union for their interest in sports rights through funding the project of “Supporting Sports Rights for Children with Disabilities. Mr. Al-Arabi called on schools and clubs to accommodate students with disabilities in their sports programs through inclusive integration.
