The Peace Sport Club for Persons with Disability launched a sports course for physical education teachers at the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA).
This course comes in the context of developing the sports concepts and integration of children with disabilities in schools.
Mr. Mohamed Al-Arabi, the Chairman of the Peace Club for Persons with Disability, said that this course is important for teachers because it develops their concepts related to children with disabilities. He also reminded that this course is within the project “Supporting Sports Rights for Children with Disabilities” in partnership with the Palestinian Consultative Staff for developing NGOs (PCS) and funded by the European Union within the project “Promoting the Rights of Persons with disability in the Palestinian Territories.”
Mr. Zahir Al-Ghoul, representative of the Palestinian Consultative Staff for developing NGOs (PCS) in the Gaza Strip, confirmed that the PCS supports and promotes the rights of persons with disabilities in the Gaza Strip through this initiative and other initiatives.
He also emphasized on the necessity of social integration of children with disabilities in schools in general and in the class of physical education in particular.
